AZA President and CEO presents Zoo re-accreditation Thursday, 2:30
Springfield, Mo. – Dickerson Park Zoo is proud to host the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) President and CEO Dan Ashe Thursday, September 21.
Mr. Ashe will spend the day touring Dickerson Park Zoo, and at 2:30 p.m. will announce the zoo’s recent re-accreditation. The zoo first achieved accreditation in 1986 and has successfully maintained re-accreditation following evaluation and inspection from the AZA Accreditation Commission every five years.
Dan Ashe is the former Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. He joined AZA in January 2017.
The presentation will take place at 2:30 p.m. in front of the Diversity of Life building at Dickerson Park Zoo, 1401 W. Norton Rd.
