A special ordinance authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to accept supplemental Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act 15% grant funds in the amount of $71,716 from the Missouri Division of Workforce Development to assist with the costs of enhancements to Ozark Region facilities and training and planning activities associated with the Ozark Region Workforce Development Board and to enter into necessary agreements to carry out the grant; amending the budget of the Department of Workforce Development for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in the amount of $71,716; and declaring that this bill qualifies for approval on one reading.

A special ordinance authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a Surface Transportation Program – Urban Program Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to partially reimburse the base salaries of up to six City employees who work at the Transportation Management Center; and amending the budget of the Department of Public Works for Fiscal Year 2016-2017, in the amount of $315,000.

A special ordinance authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a Job, Education & Training agreement with Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation to provide employee work skill enhancement and training activities for 47 incumbent workers to fulfill the Ozark Region Workforce Development Board’s Incumbent Worker Training program under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This is a cost reimbursement contract in the amount of $58,005.

The City manager recommends the following appointment to the Building Trades Examination and Certification Board: Terry Speake with a term to expire October 1, 2019.
The Mayor recommends the following appointments to the Mayor’s Commission on Human Rights and Community Relations: Pamela Hernandez and Heather Hardinger with terms to expire October 1,2017; and Brittany O’Brien with a term to expire October 1, 2018.
As per RSMo. 109.230 (4), City records that are on file in the City Clerk’s office and have met the retention schedule will be destroyed in compliance with the guidelines established by the Secretary of State’s office.
