Girls on Fire

On Saturday, October 17, the Springfield Fire Department will host “Girls on Fire”. This is a recruitment event aimed at encouraging women to explore firefighting as a career option.

The event will be held at Springfield Regional Police/Fire Training Center 2620 W. Battlefield.

Guests can participate in a variety of hands-on activities to get a taste of what it’s like to be a firefighter and learn firefighting techniques.

Those who preregister will be entered to win prizes and the first 50 who register will receive a t-shirt. You can preregister at springfieldmo.gov/gof
