Girls on Fire PSA

On Saturday, October 18, the Springfield Fire Department will host “Girls on Fire”. This is a recruitment event aimed at encouraging women to explore firefighting as a career option.

The event will be held at Springfield Regional Police/Fire Training Center 2620 W. Battlefield.

Keynote speaker at 11:00. Guests can participate in a variety of hands-on activities to get a taste of what it’s like to be a firefighter, learn about interviewing skills and how to create a resume from the Missouri Career Center, and learn about the Springfield Fire Department’s physical agility test. Lunch provided!

Those who preregister will be entered to win prizes and the first 50 who register will receive a t-shirt. You can preregister atspringfieldmo.gov/gof
