PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSIONPUBLIC HEARING PROCESS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Planning and Zoning Commission has a regular scheduled meeting on December 17, 2020 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held electronically via teleconferencing per the Mayor’s proclamation declaring a state of civil emergency.
Citizens wishing to speak at the meeting may sign up by contacting the Planning and Development office at 417-864-1611 or by signing up at www.springfieldmo.gov/planningzoningspeakers before 5:00pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Citizens who do not want to attend the meeting may submit their testimony/comments beforehand by emailing us at the above address and will be included in the minutes.
Citizens who have signed up with the Planning and Development office in accordance with the new rule will be required to view and participate in the meeting electronically via teleconferencing. Physical distancing will be maintained.
Prior to arriving at the Historic City Hall citizens are required to have their temperature taken and a name tag given to them by the Health Department. Please go to the Health Department across from Old Historic City Hall.
Citizens who have experienced any of the following, will not be allowed inside City Hall:• Flu-like symptoms• Respiratory illness (cough, difficulty breathing)• Fever• Travelled in the past 14 days to an affected area• Been exposed to someone who has travelled to an affected area• Been exposed to someone who has been evaluated for the illness or confirmed illness
The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting can be viewed on Mediacom cable channels 15.1, 22 and 80 and AT&T Uverse channel 99, or viewed online at Cityview.springfieldmo.gov/livestream. The meetings are also livestreamed on the @CityofSgf Facebook page.
For items for which the public may speak, the Commission Chairperson will invite anyone who wishes to speak to an item after staff makes its presentation. All meetings are televised live and tape recorded. Please limit your remarks to five (5) minutes unless Commission allows a longer time. In accordance with ADA guidelines, if you need special accommodations when attending any City meeting, please notify the City Clerk’s Office at 417-864-1443 at least three (3) days prior to the scheduled meeting.
