Special City Council Meeting – September 29, 2020
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 2-32 OF THE SPRINGFIELD CITY CODE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL IS HEREBY CALLED FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE:
- ROLL CALL.
- SECOND READING AND FINAL PASSAGE. Citizens Have Spoken. May Be Voted On.
Council Bill 2020-226 (Fisk)
A special ordinance authorizing and directing the issuance, sale and delivery by the City of Springfield, Missouri, of Special Obligation Improvement Bonds (Airport Hangar Facility), Series 2020A (AMT), in a principal amount not to exceed $12,000,000 for the purpose of
providing funds to pay costs related to improvements to the City’s airport facilities; amending the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget of the City in the amount of $12,899,357.00; authorizing and
approving certain documents in connection with the issuance of the Bonds; authorizing certain other documents and actions in connection therewith; and declaring an emergency. - CLOSED SESSION.
City Council will hold a closed meeting to discuss legal actions, causes of action or litigation involving a public governmental body and any confidential or privileged communications between a public governmental body or its representatives and its attorneys pursuant to Section 610.021(1), RSMo.; and sealed bids and related documents, until the bids are opened; and sealed proposals and related documents or any documents related to a negotiated contract until a contract is executed, or all proposals are rejected pursuant to Section 610.021(12), RSMo.; and
this meeting, record, and vote shall be closed, and the City Council shall stand adjourned at the end of the closed session.
