Public Safety

Springfield's public safety agencies include the Springfield Police Department, Greene County Sheriff's Office, Greene County Prosecutor's Office, Springfield Municipal Court, Springfield Fire Department, CoxHealth and Mercy Emergency Medical Services, Springfield-Greene County 911 Emergency Communications and Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management. The Springfield-Greene County Health Department, City departments such as Public Works and Building Development Services, Springfield Public Schools' Police and college and universities' campus police also contribute to the public safety of the citizens of Springfield.
